Commitment

Hello, I’m trainer Reina!

I became a trainer back in 2017 after being an intern for about 2 years under trainer Travis Washington.

What motivated me to become a trainer was several family members including my late mother, late husband, and my late brother-in-law, who all spent a significant part of their lives being in an unhealthy state which eventually lead to there death at an extremely young age.

From then on, I resolved in my mind that I was going to break this generational curse of illness, be it heart disease, cancer, diabetes or obesity.

Being overweight myself, at 260 pounds, I committed to eating healthier and working out at least six days a week.

Eventually, I lost 84 pounds.

I committed to that which I resolved in my mind no matter how I felt each day. I was not going to be a victim of these preventable illnesses. I was not going to leave my family and friends prematurely to mourn me for decades to come.

I heard someone say, “Commitment is doing what you said you were going to do long after the mood you said it in has left.

So if you say a healthier life is what you want, make a plan and execute every single day.

Commit to it just as you would a marriage! Don’t cheat it, don’t disrespect it and take it a day at a time. Before you know it you will look up and be thankful you were consistently disciplined.

Time will go just as fast whether you commit or not.

So ask yourself, who do I want to be 6 months from now?

Get to work!
